Need to map done stories to completed sprints or dummy sprints..

We had tracked the 2018 year end stories work in a dummy sprint . Now, that sprint is deleted as its no longer valid but, the stories which were mapped to that sprint automatically map to the current valid sprint, which is not correct and needs to be fixed in Jira. 

What is the best way to close them and keep then as a different status?.

like no longer used state instead of creating dummy sprint and close .?
