Need to @mention other users in the comments in JIRA

Judy Colonero

Using JIRA Cloud.

I have consultants working on our project.  They are in their own JIRA group with their own permissions and can only see the projects they are assigned to. When they try to use the "@" in the comments of a story it does not prompt the drop down user list.

I have read through this discussion without any help: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Can-t-Mention-other-users/qaq-p/5238

Has anyone else seen this?

Thank you,

Judy

Hello @Judy Colonero ,

You need Jira Admin's help with this:

Goto --> Settings (cog) --> Global Permissions --> Scroll down to grant permissions --> Grant (Browse users and groups) --> Select the group you like to grant this permission to

If that didn't fix the issue you can look at this KB - Mentions and Autocomplete are not working in JIRA Cloud
