Nested User Groups

Would anybody else find nested user groups in Jira Cloud useful? MY use case:

I work with multiple 3rd parties that may change every few months. I set permissions for projects and have to keep adding/removing groups from each permission level.

If i could create a simple: 'Suppliers' group i could just nest the individual supplier groups in there and admin would be much simpler.

I have seen Atlassian say this is a 'won't do' but i do not understand why?
