Network Infrastructure Projects

Brad Marlin November 20, 2019

I am the Scrum Master for a Network Infrastructure team. Many of our project require us to update hardware or connections for over 150 stores. Currently we create a story for each of the 150 stores and then add sub-tasks under the stories for each. These sub-tasks might be the same for each store or some might be a little different. The problem we have is that this becomes very overwhelming to see on the Kanban board as we might have 2 of these type of projects on the go. This would mean upwards of 300 stories and 1500 sub-tasks. Has anyone every worked with these type of team and projects. The goal it to make the work visible and manage the progress. Our entire org used Jira, but mostly for Software Development. Any lessons learned or suggestions would be great.

Did you come up with a solution for this? What issue types are you using for your project?
