Hello Everyone

We have created a couple of new directories(Microsoft AD) and configured them as Connectors in the Crowd server.

Jira is connected to the Crowd server, crowd server and ADs can communicate with each other successfully (validated using telnet).

Case1:Recently new users have been added to one of the Active Directory, but these users are not getting reflected in Jira under User Management. Hence, they are unable to log in to Jira. Moreover, we can see the users are getting pulled from AD in the Crowd server but not into Jira.

Case2:Group of existing users has been migrated from one AD to the newly created AD with their new email-ids, for this case as well, the users are not reflected in Jira with new email-id associated with them.

Existing Configuration:

Jira Server: 7.10.2

Crowd Server: 2.10.1

Please suggest a workaround if anyone came across this scenario.

Thanks in Advance,

Vedant

Hi

Are the new directories added to the application configs in Crowd?

@Tom Lister, we have not added under the Application Config in Crowd.

Surprisingly, users from one of the AD connectors configured in Crowd, are reflected in Jira successfully and these users are able to log in as well. However, except for this directory, there are no other directory users are getting fetched into Jira.

We compared the directory configurations and checked using telnet as well, but everything looks identical. All directory configurations are similar, but still, only users from a single directory get fetched in Jira.

Hi @Vedant Kulkarni_Trundl

All the directories you want to use need to be added to the application. Also set the groups in the directory that are allowed to authenticate.

@Tom Listerthanks for the response.

We did not find this option in our Crowd, I think it is because of the Crowd version.

Does crowd support Multiple AD/LDAP authentications? As we have added 6+ AD connectors in Crowd. Out of 6+, only users from a single AD connector are being fetched in Jira.

Hey @Tom Lister

Thanks for the response. This is how it looks for me. But we modified the existing Application and added the required directories under it and it resolved the issue. The users are getting reflected in Jira.
