Hi

Can I know what exactly these two fields mean and what sort of input do it expect?

1. Upload your app?
2. App file?

The field is a question about what you are trying to upload to the marketplace.  It's asking about what type of app you are uploading.

After answering the main question, it then asks you to provide the detail of what you want to upload.

I suspect that if you select the first choice, then you click on "select  file", you select your file from your computer and then you click the upload.
