New navigation problem

Can someone tell me how I can set the order of my Projects, Filters, Dashboards, etc in the new Navigation? It appears to list them in a totally random order, and I really need to move the ones I use more frequently to the top. 

I do not want to use Favs

Where exactly in the new navigation are you trying to establish that order? Can you provide a screen image?

If you are talking about the menus/headings in the left side panel for Projects, Filters, and Dashboards, I don't think you can control the order in which items are listed under those headings.

Under each heading you will see the most recently accessed entities in that category and a list of Starred entities.

You can change the order of the headings/menus in the panel by using the Customize Sidebar option that appears at the very bottom of the list. Through that you could also add shortcuts to the sidebar for specific items.

Thanks Trudy. I was worried that might be the answer 😕

My left hand navigation bar is now a mile long and it feels like nothing I ever want to use is in it. How anyone can think this is better is beyond me. I suspect the people developing the software must either use another solution or live the most simple life imaginable. This is untested chaos
