I'm trying to add some additional columns to my my workflow process. Here's the settings I have.
But when I get to the actual live sprint board it's only showing three columns,
How do I make my other columns show on this board? I'd like to visually see my tasks run through the process.
Hey Michael,
I believe you need to have a status mapped to those columns in order for them to show up on your board.
This may require a change to your workflow as it appears you don't have any unmapped status'

I'm kind of lost then. Is there a reason the system allows me to add column but not make them usable?
So I click on the workflows link under Board Settings and select Add Workflow. Which type of workflow would I want to select?

Not that I know of. It may just be the system providing some flexibility around adding in columns you may want to use later - but more likely there's no check to ensure that there are status' that can be mapped when you click on add a column.

So maybe the workflow I'm trying to accomplish is clear from my screenshots but I basically want to move items across a documenting, training and release process before it's considered done.
Do you have any suggestions on how best to accomplish this?

Yeah, you will just need to add new statuses and transitions to your workflow for each of your new columns.
This guide should help you out if you're not familiar with editing workflows:

You'll then need to change your active workflow to your new version (if you can't edit the current version): https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/managing-your-workflows-776636587.html
