We're migrating to Jira and trying to determine the best way to leverage Jira's next gen structure.
We have multiple ongoing projects, ie:
Application A
Each of these projects will use an Agile structure, with an organized backlog of tasks.
Ideally, we would build a cross-project sprint from all of these projects for our cross-functional development team & view the sprint as a sort of 'master' board.
Is there any way to accomplish this end result?
Thank you!
Hello Nicolas,
welcome to Atlassian community!
The next-gen projects is still a lab-feature on JIRA that was implemented for those customers who wish a more practical way to manage their tasks, simpler than the Classic Scrum and Kanban projects.
That being said, our developers are still collecting customers feedback to know what should be implemented for these projects and what should be removed to keep it simple, that's why the ability to change the filter to return more than one project has not been implemented yet.
In fact, some customers have already requested this feature, so we raised some feature requests to our development team:
- Add "Board settings" to next-gen projects
- Ability to configure board filters for next gen project
Please, feel free to vote and watch the suggestions above to increase its priority and be aware of any updates. Also, give your feedback on how this feature is crucial for your business case in the comments so our developers can have more information about it.
Hello, any update on this?
We're also desperately waiting for you to implement those features into Jira.
Board settings and multiple projects into one board.
Thank you.
