I love the ease and clarity of understanding of the Jira Roadmap. One thing I am trying to understand.
Is there anyway that the timeline bars can be set by the range of dates inthe linked issues?
If we have 20 issues under and epic is it possible that he date range for the Epic bar is set by the child items? Thsi little functionality removes all need for me to communicate outside of the roadmap feature on progress and target dates for each Epic we are working in the team
Hi @David Snoddy,
Unfortunately I do not think it is possible for the Roadmap functionality in Next-Gen projects to do this. However, Portfolio for Jira offers more automated solutions for Roadmap development, though not based on a date field within the child issues. I would suggest looking into Portfolio for Jira.
Apologies I cannot offer another solution at this time.
@David Snoddy, this is something I raised to Jason Wong (PM for Jira cloud) in the recent AMA. You might want to have a look at the exchange there. If you search for my name you will eventually find the thread for roadmap.
