I get this error in two different flavors:

  • No Product Definitions Found: jira-software
  • No Product Definitions Found: conf

Anytime I try and add someone's email address to my Jira board.

We are just evaluating Jira Cloud right now and this is not good for first impressions so far.

I see there is an outage but nothing that seems to outline the lack of being able to add users and/or the potential backend issues that are still occurring in this scenario I mention.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Navigate to admin.atlassian.com for your domain
  2. Navigate to the Directory
  3. Attempt to add a user by their email address
  4. Receive the errors mentioned in the bottom left as javascript popups

Hello @QwertyCody,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

This error might be related to the default group that gives permissions to the product.

In this case, before adding new users, please, go to Cog icon > User management > Product access and confirm if Jira Software and Confluence has a “Default access group”.

If not, you can click on … > Make this group default.

After having default groups, please, try to invite users again through User management  > Users > Invite users.

Kind regards,
Angélica
