We recently started working in the cloud after being discouraged from continuing to use our on-premises instances of Jira and Confluence.
One of the top features of the integration in our local installation was that adding Jira issue filters in Confluence pages automatically created a link in the relevant Jira issue back to the Confluence page as a "mentioned in" link.
I can add a filter on a Confluence page that points to a Jira issue, which I assume means the integration is operating correctly. However, no "mentioned in" link appears in the Jira issue.
What could be the issue?
The following is what found:
The Jira Bug has been set to Won't fix
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-72115
Best,

Thanks, @Tinker Fadoua
I infer from the description of https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-72115 that "mentioned in" links are working for them, but this is not working for us. I have updated the text above to make this clearer.

Brendan

@Brendan Pickford thank you for your patience!
Myself I am a DC user and can see what is the issue you are having.
Please read Atlassian Engineer comment as it seems like an expected behavior in Cloud. I saw other people using Automation for Jira to have the link created automatically

Thanks, Fadoua.
That issue description is exactly what we are seeing. I will look into the automation solution, as you have suggested.
Thanks again,
Brendan
