I have a setup a project with custom permissions. We are not allowing everyone to see the board unless its their own - works totally fine.
But in some cases we do wana add watchers or @ someone in the comments, as we are not giving browse permission to everyone. Watchers or @ doesnt show the list of names. Do we have a workaround for that? Is there any plugin or set issue security permission would help ??
Any input will be helpful. Thanks in advance.
Hi @DJ
What I did for this instance is added a new multi-user user custom field. In my case I called it "Collaborators". I added Collaborators to (at least) browse permissions for the project along with any other things I wanted them to be able to do (such as comment on the issue).
So... to add them to be able to see the issue, then you first add the humans to the collaborator field and then you can add them to other things. I also, on some projects, added that to the notification scheme so that I didn't have to bother polluting the watchers; just use the collaborators that I granted permission to the specific ticket for such things.
best,
mike
