Not receiving email notification from my personal updates

As of 3/7 I am no longer receiving email notifications for comments that I made myself on stories. Was there a system change that went into place that would cause me not to receive email notifications when I make comments on stories?

I noticed that "Watch your issues" was not enabled. I enabled this, but I'm still not receiving emails when I make a comment in a story.

Yes, there was a change to managing your personal notifications recently. Refer to

With that change Atlassian decided that notifications would no longer be sent for the updates you make yourself. Based on the response since the roll out started, then are now considering reinstating that option.
