The goal is to notify the customer of a tracking number.
Steps I've taken
-Created a screen for the workflow transition
-Added a custom field to that screen called (Fedex tracking #)
I tested this out, and it seems that the customer is only notified (through email) of the transition and not the custom field change.
Does anyone have recommendations on how to implement this notification?
The customer will only be shown the number if it gets added during the transition. If you want to force the inclusion of this field, then you can use an app like Notification for Jira (which we make). Set up a Template that includes the Comment and Fedex Tracking # fields. Then configure our Post Function on this Transition to send an email using this new Template.
