One Backlog, multiple Sprint boards for separate teams, and velocity tracking

Is it possible to create separate Sprint boards for several teams, using the same backlog, and be able to track individual team velocities?

Are you using Jira Server/Data Center or Jira Cloud?

For Jira Server/Data Center and for Company Managed projects in Jira Cloud you can create Scrum Boards manually based on the same filter. In each board you can define Sprints. To avoid confusion you would want to coach the teams to make sure that each team assigns names to the sprints that will be unique across all of the Jira instance; they should not each create their own sprint named "Sprint 1", but rather something like "Team A Sprint 1".

However, since they all use the same filter and backlog, the sprints will end up displaying on every team's board. The board will display any sprint that contains an issue that is within scope of the board filter.
