One project, multiple teams, parallel but different sprints.

My organization is about 60 people, split into various teams, all sharing the same backlog.  Team A doesn't care about Team B's sprint, and so on.  Team A's sprint might have different start and end dates, and so on.  We don't want to split the project into multiple projects based on teams.  We really just want separate boards, with separate and isolated sprints, for each team, all pulling from the same backlog.

Is this possible within JIRA Agile?

Hi Jace,

Yes, that is possible. You can benefit from the Parallel Sprint JIRA Agile Lab.

To activate it just visit:

  1. Cog icon > Add-ons
  2. JIRA Agile (left menu) > JIRA Agile Labs
  3. Check the Parallel Sprint box

Then, you can just start to create the sprints for each team on their respective Agile board. smile

Let us know if this helps you out.

Cheers!
