We have one user who has the same permission profile as all other, but his one user gets the error message: The operator '=' is not supported by the 'Target Version' field.
This user is the only user that gets this error on this specific query. The Jira query is embedded in a confluence page.
this is really strange. Can you verify that the user can indeed access other queries fine? It sounds like you have multiple queries inside of Confluence and this one user, for this one query fails? It would be really strange if that user could successfully run other queries. Also, have you asked them to copy/paste the query into the Jira search directly?
Directly pasting to his browser gives him the error: The "=" is valid for this custom field. He is the only user getting this error. His role and group same as others that are successful in viewing this filter.

If that same query works for others I’m unsure where the issue is TBH. I would be curious if the two queries works independently. Based on what you have shown I would expect the first to work but not the second.
“Epic Link” = NLS-11494
”Target Version” = NLSv9.4.0
it would also be I to see if this worked - ”Target Version” ~ “NLSv9.4.0”
ultimately I think you are going to need to reach out to Atlassian Support directly.
