Only internal eamils can create tickets

Deleted user October 16, 2019

Hello Team,

I am an admin for jira and have found that only people that are on our domain can send in tickets.  As some users do not always have access to their computers or are not domain users, how can they send in a ticket from Outlook or hotmail

Let's say you set helpdesk@ourdomain.com is the default reporter. Then when external user user@theirdomain send an email to him, a new ticket would be created with default reporter as helpdesk.

Notifications regarding updates, comments on the new ticket would be sent ONLY to helpdesk as he is the reporter and there is no way to notify user@theirdomain for OnDemand.

However, there is a workaround that you manually go to the new ticket in JIRA and click Share to user@theirdomain so that he can access and receive regular updates.

good suggestions, but that isn't quite my issue

when someone emails  helpdesk@ourdomain.com emails in a ticket is created for all users that are in your domain( bob@ourdomain.com linda@ourdomain.com) but when someone from out side the domain like Bob emailing in from bob@hotmail.com to   helpdesk@ourdomain.com no ticket is created
