Only notify @mentioned users when writing a comment.

Our issue watchers get too many email notifications. We write a lot of "Where is this at" and other comments that aren't of interest to all watchers.

Is there a way to turn OFF all comment creation notifications and only notify guys who the commenter @mentions?

I believe you can configure the notification scheme so it only emails when someone is mentioned.  Please ask your admin to take a look at the notification scheme settings and how-tos.
