'Open issues in side bar' : make 'View settings' a property of the user

Hello,

Every now and then, when I open a ticket detail in my sprint/board, it opens in a popup. As I don't want this, not in any context, I go to the 'View settings' panel on the right, and turn on 'Open issues in side bar' :

Do you know/think if this setting can be made additionally a property of the user, so that I would check it in my profile, and, voila !, it would be like that forever, and in the very rare and almost unthinkable situation where I would need a popup, then i could still do it at the board level ?

This configuration option is not available at the user level unfortunately.

You can reach out to Atlassian support. However, know that the list of open suggestions for the product is very long with many being open for many years in some cases. This is not intended to dissuade you but rather, to set expectations. You can also use the Feedback link within Jira app itself. You will find this under the "?" Icon in upper right corner next to your profile avatar.
