Hi,
My users would want to include external links (for example to Trello items, Google Docs, production website) in the "create" screen of issues (say user stories).
What's the best way to do that?
Thanks,
Tommy
Tommy, you can add a custom field (type url) and add it to the Create screen for the project where this is needed. Note if the project is sharing a create screen you will want to copy it and make one specific for the project, otherwise all projects using that screen will have this new filed on the create screen.
I thought that URL fields exist as a default in stories. I just wanted to show them in the create string.
Am I wrong in my assumption?

there are no URL fields defined as defaults. but unsure why that is important. you just need to add a custom field and name it whatever you wish, e.g. "URL Reference".

Thanks @Jack Brickey for your patience.
I am referring to the default option to "attach a link" when editing an issue as it appears in the attached screen shot. That is why I assume there is no need to add a custom field.
I want to be able to do so already at create time.
