Original Estimate on User Stories doesn't roll up to Original Estimate at Epic Level

Good Day,

We use JIRA in the following way

• We create Epics for a grouping of related functionality
• We subsequently create stories and assign them to epics 
• Developers can the create task(s) to complete stories

I have populated the "Original Estimate" fields with time values, but the "Original Estimates" defined for all the stories doesn't sum up to Epic "Original Estimate". 

This makes it very difficult to see how epic will take to deliver, and the epic burndown doesn't work correctly. 

It has been indicated that its because of the fact that we are using the Cloud version of Jira- surely this cannot be the case. 

Could you please advice on the course of action to take to get this working?
