Original Estimates not importing if mapping Issue Type

Julia Downs August 16, 2021

Hi there,

I'm wanting to bulk import issues to my project that contain both time estimates and issue type.

Whenever I map the issue type column in my csv to Jira 'issue type' field, after finishing the process of import, the time estimates disappear. It just shows 0.

If I don't choose to map the issue type, the time estimates remain and are displaying correctly.

Any ideas how to import both of them at the same time without Time estimates disappearing?

Thanks

Hi @Julia Downs

This could be a settings issue as time tracking imports by default in units of Seconds (unless your site settings have changed.)  Please take a look at this post which includes an explanation from Atlassian staff: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/How-I-can-bulk-update-quot-Original-Estimate-quot-values-from-an/qaq-p/1400622

Best regards,
Bill
