Original Estimation should have suffix when filling the data

Hi team, 

I Want to make suffix to be mandatory in original estimate when filling the data. 

My Original Estimate field should not be accepted without a suffix added for hour, day, minutes etc. How can I achieve this.

As you mentioned when using time tracking fields additional time units after a time value 'X' can be used, such as Xw, Xd, Xh, or Xm, to represent weeks (w), days (d), hours (h), and minutes (m), respectively. 

Typing only number without specifying a time unit as you already noticed is possible. Then the default value is used that was set by Jira admin. This can be changed but unfortunately there is not setting to make this fully ON or OFF so that always this unit is required.
