PLEASE : Access in read only to Jira

klein kevin February 11, 2014

Hi everybody

Currently, I am working on Migration of projects from a production server (release : 5.2.5) to a test server (release : 5.2.5)

Thus, after having retrieve all projects from production server,
My question is : I would like to put Jira application in read only access for all users of all projects (ORDER to not stop Jira production server). And to avoid that users do changes at the same time

Could you please say me how can i do it ?

Thanks very much

There is no easy way to do this.

You can lock down your jira by removing all the groups from the "jira users" global permission, and this won't stop any "anonymous" access (which, if you are using, I hope is configured for read only), but there's no real way to make a Jira read-only without ploughing through all the permission schemes and changing them (and then having to put them back afterwards)
