Hi everyone,
In a Team-managed project we had a paragraph field default text with a table using wiki markup.
||a||b||c||
|…|…|…|
With the new Jira issue create experience this is no longer supported and it stopped working.
We tried markdown syntax tables, it doesn't work.
| a | b |
| ----------- | ----------- |
|...|...|
Editor doesn't have support either.
We also tried copying from an existing issue, it looses format.
Any help?
Thanks in advance.
Post discussion with developers, we have raised the same with our development team and can be tracked here for further progress - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-78176
Hi @Diogo Ribeiro -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I suspect you are encountering this open defect: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-9795
In my testing for a similar symptom for automation rules, I was able to copy formatting for a table from one smart value field to another issue...but I was unable to directly set the same wiki formatting notation. There appears to be other content which drives the formatting working.
Kind regards,
Bill

Hi @Bill Sheboy, thanks.
Regular markdown formatting works. Table format it doesn't.
I tryed to copy from another table but it loses format on paste.

Sounds like that field's editor is clearing it out/not saving it. If you are on a paid Jira license (not free) I recommend asking your site admin to submit a support ticket here to confirm the expected behavior: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/
After you hear back from them, please post what you learn to benefit the rest of the community. Thanks!

@Diogo Ribeiro did the support team give you a link to the public defect so we can follow its progress?
Thanks!

The current status of our support request is "Atlassian Investigating".
But I've asked Atlassian to post a link here when they have registered the bug.
