Parent JIRA can’t be closed unless all sub-tasks are closed. Without using Workflow

Parent JIRA can’t be closed unless all sub-tasks are closed. Without using Workflow.

As the workflow would be used by multiple projects in an organisation, if we apply this into the workflow this would be applied to all the projects using the workflow. I need a solution to apply this condition to 1 of 100 projects alone. Is there a way to do this.

Hi @dinesh rajendran and welcome to the Atlassian community,

because this is a specific validator, you need to implement this requirement through a workflow validator and, for my knowledge, you can't do that in different way.

My suggestion is to copy the workflow, change it, and associate through a custom Workflow Scheme to your specific project.

Hope this helps,

Fabio

@dinesh rajendran hi and welcome to the community!

In addition to what @Fabio Racobaldo _Herzum_ said, you can always add a conditional validator, in which this validator will be tested only if "project = XXX" . E.g. the app JMWE has this functionality.
