Parent task not shown - unless a subtask is created for the parent task

Henrik Zimmermann May 21, 2021

Parent tasks are not shown - unless I create a subtask (in the issue view), and then the parent task is not selectable and only shown as a grey line in the top of the subtask.

The problem occur after I changed the association for the task to a newly define custom issue type.

The fundamental problem is, that this new custom defined issue type is not shown on the kanban board - Does someone know what is causing the problem and how to solve it?

Most likely it is a checkmark somewhere that is missing - but where?

Hi, @Henrik Zimmermann - do you have access to the board settings? If so, on the General tab, take a look at the board filter query. Is it excluding the parent issue type?

Also, the display you're seeing (where the parent issue is just a gray border) is what you see even if the parent is displaying on the board IF the board isn't swimlaned by story and the parent ticket is in a different status (column) than the subtasks. Is it possible that CENTAGUI-198 is in a status other than Selected for Development?
