Hello All,

We have a custom field that tags whether a story is a "Dev" user story or a "Test" user story. We have a request to figure out an easy way to reflect the % done of each of those phases.

For example: If Dev has completed 3 stories with 1 remaining story - it would reflect 75%.

I have been trying to use either Plans or Structure to do this, I would like the data to reflect at the Epic level, if possible.

Hello @Bryce Remington ,

One method you might consider using is the Jira Dashboards.

The 'Issue Statistics' gadget might be suitable for wat you are aiming to achieve

  1. Create two separate Jira filters. One to display the 'Dev' stories, and the another for the 'Test' stories.
  2. Create a dashboard and add two gadgets applying the created filters.
  3. Select the statistic type to be a status

To see data specifically for Epics, you can adjust the filters to display only Epics. However, this would only represent the status of the Epics themselves. One workaround could be to keep the filter more general. If someone wishes to see statistics for a particular Epic, they can modify and save the filter accordingly, then view the results on the Dashboard. If you are working with a limited number of Epics, you might find it more efficient to set up individual gadgets for each one.

Hope this helps!

Hi @Bryce Remington ,

Your best option here is our Great Gadgets app.

It offers an Advanced Issue Filter Formula gadget that allows you to calculate and display these percentages and see the numbers in real time.

All you have to do is to have a filter the returns all "Dev" tickets and one that returns all remaining "Dev" tickets. Then to apply the appropriate formulas on these filters. Same for "Test".

This app offers many other useful gadgets. To make a better idea about what you can track with this app and how, take a look over our blog

I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at  support@stonikbyte.com.

Thank you,
