Performance Issue with Backlog

I am unable to find any solution to my performance issue on my hosted Jira Core.  Whenever someone log into Jira and go to Backlog.  The system is a taking a long time to display the list of issues and sometimes I have to kill the page.  I have looked into different solution but none of them worked.

The backlog is meant for a hundred, or a few hundred issues.

If your board has thousands of issues, that's the problem. Reduce the size of the query.

How many issues are in this backlog?

I would also be interested to find out how your system compares against the Jira Sizing Guide in terms of Users, issues, system memory, and heap memory.
