Permission for edit workflow and transition

I am like the normal user, i don't have permission for edit the workflow. Is my administrator need to give permission for me to edit the workflow. Could you kindly share the steps for getting the access from administrator, since my administrator also doesn't know about these things.

Welcome to the community!

Actually to edit the workflow either you should have a project admin rights (it workes in some conditions for details please visit this link) or Jira admin.

To provide you the project admin rights ...administrator need go to specific project settings --> open the permission scheme and then allow extended project permissions.

Or administrator can go to Jira admin --> Global permission and need to check which group has been configured for Jira administrator access and then need to you in that respective group.

If it's a company-managed Jira projects then only way:

You need to log in as a user with the Administer Jira global permission to access and manage workflows.
