Dear All,
I was trying my best, however after few hours of search i need Your help.
I am using Classic Jira Kanban.
"Project settings"
All my team "people" are admins, except one person who should see only assigned tasks - not whole project. ( i marked this in Project settings>People> assigned issues only).
I edited permissions in ( Project permissions>Assigned issues only),
As well i added issue security (Assignee &Project admins), which should grant the permission.
However in everything i do i get the same answer - Person can still see all tasks.
Is it possible that person could see only his tasks/ move the tasks, but won't see whole kanban?
thanks!
Hi Elvina,
hopefully I am getting the whole picture but wouldn't it suffice for your requirement to grant "Assignee" the "Browse Permission"?
If I am not totally off the right track you then would not have to use issue security.
Idea behind: Browsing the project will be granted to the project role "Administrators" (all people in it) + some system default roles (this is ok and can be left untouched/ignored).
Additionally setting "Assignee" there shoud basically work.
Apart from that you said that this is not working. Have you tried to check with the Admin Helper (https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/use-the-jira-admin-helper/) what it is giving back for the specific scenario?
Cheers,
Daniel
Issue security should work. The trick would be to move all issues to an issue security group where the one user is not part of - and only moving issues he is supposed to see to the issue security group where he is part of.

Hey Daniel,
thanks for reply.
Do You know if there is possibility to automatically assign issue security for all the tasks?
As if new created tasks should get this security?
As i have other board with identical permission set and security set, which lets person to see it's assigned issues only ( however this is on Classic bussiness project and my current board is on Classic SOFTWARE project). Maybe something is done with that?

Hi @Elvina Janušonytė ,
Can you please check your permission schema and issue security again? Please share the screenshots with me if you can.

Hey Monika, thank You for the feedback.
please see below. Security scheme ( was trying with "current assignee" and adding " Project: Assigned issues only" as well):
Then permissions board. ( I know that there is bug that when adding to "browse project" everyone can see it if assigned "current user"), i was trying however many multiple combinations. with only " current assignee" OR with only" project: assigned issues only", and then both)... It is really frustrating. only thing what i got is that i get to see the board or i don't get permission to see it at all.
