Planning to upgrade the Jira software version from 6.4.6 to 8.20.1

Hello Team,

 

 

I'm planning to upgrade my Jira software version from 6.4.6 to 8.20.1

 

our current DB is mysql5.5.30 version. Please let me know which version is supports the  latest Jira version 8.20.1

 

And also let me know Is It possible to update directly from 6.4.6 to 8.20.1 If it's not let me know the version to version upgrade process.

Hi @Srikanth , 

 

you should first upgrade to Jira 7.0.11 first, and then upgrade to the latest 8.20 version.

Thanks for your response, This will be helpful.

One more doubt Is 8.20.1 enterprise version or not and below Java version suitable with the 8.20.1 , Please let me know.

Yes Jira 8.20.1 is an LTS release (previously named Enterprise). 

Also, that version of Java is compatible.

Do we need to pay for Jira v7.0    .. or we can access it for free   since it is only a step in the migration
