Plans and excluding Issues

Team, I have a Roadmap plan set up in Jira and want to exclude some Epics and linked stories from it.

When I select an Epic and remove, it does remove the epic but then all the linked stories fall to the bottom on my plan under a twisty "stories with no parent".

Can I remove an Epic from a plan and the stories attached.

Yes, but you would have to select them in the scope view before you use the bulk option remove from plan:
