Plugin for sprint statistics

Chasovskikh Kirill

Hello!

I’m looking for a plugin that can provide statistics for my sprints, specifically:

  • Average/min/max sprint workload (SP allocated vs. sprint capacity)
  • Average/min/max number of issues per sprint
  • Sum of Story Points (SP) from a custom JQL query (e.g., sum of SP from Stories without a parent)

Could you recommend anything? Thank you in advance!

Hi @Chasovskikh Kirill,

Definitely a good option for tracking all these sprint metrics easily & efficiently  is our Great Gadgets plugin. The app offers super-useful dashboard gadgets for trackie;cng these metrics.

For example, by using the Team Velocity gadget you can see the committed vs completed for every sprint, as well as min and max. The gadget can calculate by sum of story points, number of issues or any other estimation method.

For Sum of Story Points (SP) from a custom JQL query you can use the Issue Filter Formula gadget or the Advanced Issue Filter formula gadget offered by the same app, to calculate the value for the current or a past sprint :

or the Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget to get a chart like this for multiple sprints:

Hi Kirill,

You can use the app I developed - Multi-team Metrics & Retrospective.

  • Average/min/max sprint workload (SP allocated vs. sprint capacity):
    • Allocated = Final Scope (Screenshot #1).
    • Sprint Capacity = Completed Scope (Screenshot #1). However, it's not true capacity as-is. In most cases, you need to adjust capacity manually (velocity of sprint(s) without vacations – (minus) vacations in the upcoming sprint). I can implement it for you pretty quickly if needed.
    • To see average/min/max - click on Y-Axis label 'Sprints' (Screenshot #2).
  • Average/min/max number of issues per sprint - for that you will need to create a new report since it's another X-Axis dimension and select 'Issue Count' as Measurement Unit (Y-Axis) in the settings.
  • Sum of Story Points (SP) from a custom JQL query (e.g., sum of SP from Stories without a parent) - you can generate any custom JQL metric - CustomMetric: Rob Compl. Scope is one of them (Screenshot #1).

Additionally you get quantifiable retrospectives and other features.

Best regards,
Alexey

Hi @Chasovskikh Kirill

If you would be interested in a mktplace app for this requirement, pls do take a look at
Agile Velocity & Status Gadgets

The app comes with few dashboard gadgets to track team member's / team's velocity / productivity based on story points / time spent / issue count in a sprint  and also track sprint status with multiple parameters.

Disclaimer : I am part of the team which developed this app

Hi @Chasovskikh Kirill

Although the app my team developed can't cover all your requests, it might still be helpful to you. Our team at SaaSJet developed the Time in Status app, which includes a Sprint Report that gives a visual breakdown of key sprint metrics.

The report provides insights into things like:

  • Committed vs. completed work (in Story Points, Original Time Estimates, or issue count)

  • Team velocity over the last 7 sprints

  • Workload distribution across assignees

  • Completion rates, carryover work, and scope changes

These sections can help you better understand sprint performance, team workload, and progress trends.

Hi, @Chasovskikh Kirill

If you are open to a marketplace solution, I recommend Mindpro Insights. I work at Mindpro, and I believe it can help you with your use case. The app allows you to create agile dashboards easily (from a template or a blank screen) and share them with internal users via the customer portal.

The gadgets are interactive; if you click on one segment, the dashboard adapts to your filter, as well as the issues list at the bottom. Using your scenario as an example, I created a dashboard that uses the board filter. You can notice the Velocity Chart shows you the average points. With the "Sprint Progress" gadget, you can check the progress of all sprints in your board. You can also use the "Sprint Filter" to select just one sprint to show:

There are over 50+ gadgets you can select from, including custom gadgets.

I hope that helps.

Eduardo
