I have the following list of plugins which i dont find in the marketplace - does that mean they are no more needed in 7.0.5 ?

  • Atlassian Chaperone - this comes with JIRA service desk , so i am assuming this to be part of 7.0* JIRA service desk.

  • Atlassian Client Resource - ?
  • Atlassian REST API Browser  - ?
  • Bitbucket Importer Plugin for JIM - ?
  • JIRA GitHub Issue Importer - ?
  • JIRA Working Hours PLugin - ?
  • Outlook to JIRA - ?
  • Redmine Importers Plugin for JIM - ?
  • Version Sync for Atlassian JIRA  - ?

Not necessarily.

Some of those look like system add-ons, which are bundled and don't go on to the marketplace as you'll always have them in an install.

Others are on the marketplace, but I assume you mean that they are not listed as compatible for version 7.  That means that either they've been deprecated and are no longer of any use, or the developer has not had time to produce an updated version, or the developer has simply decided not to update them.

None of them are "needed" by JIRA 7 in itself.  Whether your users want the functionality they add is a different story.
