Populate custom select-list options in bulk

Does anyone have any tricks to populating a newly-created select-list custom field with a large number of options? I have to enter in 100+ options and would prefer not to do it manually. I don't see any REST API's to do this...any other way to save me from getting carpal tunnel? Thanks!

I've always used Scriptrunner or abused the CSV importer to do this, both methods work great.
