Populating Σ Progress in Confluence's JIRA Issues Macro

I have an issue I am trying to solve for my users. We have business reporting dashboards that make use of the "Σ Progress" column, now when we're trying to build better dashboards in Confluence, I find Σ Progress not being returned by JIRA. I found CONFSERVER-46262 which describes my issue but offers no workarounds.

Is there anyone out there with a "Progress" field in Confluence for an issue and its subtasks? How did you solve this?

Edit: This was posted in JIRA, but probably belongs in Confluence. I don't see a way to move it.

I'd the same issue. Atlassian isn't actively working on this issue.
