If we assign a team availability of 20 to a team member and then record an absence of three days in one week for him, how many hours will Portfolio see when planning? 8 or 20?

8, assuming that working days are configured as standard Mon-Fri. It will take the weekly hours, divide by the number of working days (20 hours means 4 hours a day). If 3 days are off, then only 4 hours each on the remaining two days are left to be scheduled.
