Portfolio upgrade from 2.0 to 2.1.5 - any major issues?

We have portfolio 2.0, want to upgrade to 2.1.5 and have the following question regarding this upgrade.

What will happen to existing plans ... will they be migrated to the new Portfolio or will they load up unchanged, ie. one of the changes is to have default Story Point values for Stories, Epics and Initiatives (this feature is delivered in v2.0.6). Will these defaults (which I'd like to use) be retro-applied to the existing plans? ... or will they only be applied to the newly created plans after the Portfolio upgrade?
