Porting Jira Cloud Addon code to Server

We have built a At a Glance Plugin using the Jira Cloud Connect REST API

Is there a way to port the code with maximum reuse to make it a Jira Server Plugin

We have reviewed the links found on the Internet below, but is there an official Atlasssian document or step by step example?
