Possibility to archive project components

In jira server it was possible to archive components. This option is not available in the cloud. Is there still a possibility to enable archiving of components in jira

There is a long standing feature request in the backlog for this: JRACLOUD-10507. However, I would not hope for it to be developed given that Atlassian stated there are no plans for implementing the feature.
