Post External API Results into Jira Customfields

Hi all,

I have a requirement where I need to display a list of values in a select dropdown in JIRA software board and these values come from an external REST API.

For doing the above, I found an atlassian app called External Data For Jira Fields and is working as expected but its a paid version after first month of free tail...

So is there any similar free app which fits my use-case or please suggest any workaround for posting external api data into Jira customfields.
