Pre-defined approvers + Agent selected approvers in the same issue

Deleted user April 2, 2019

Hey guys! Hopefully you will be able to help me.

I am creating a change management workflow with the following steps:

  1. Agent creates an issue (Change Request), fill all the required fields.
  2. IT Coordinator approves the change (any person from a specific group, this part is already working)
  3. Areas selected in the issue creation by the agent will also need to aprove (2 areas selected? 2 approvals needed. 0 areas selected? 0 extra approvals needed).

The workflow will ALWAYS go to the IT Coordinator group, in which only 1 need to approve (this step is alright, I've already done it through a simple transition).

The problem is:

I need a following step in which the responsible for the areas selected should also approve the change. For example:

The agent selected Finance and HR areas, so the responsibles in Finance and HR should also approve this change. If nothing is selected, there should be no further approvals (only the IT Coordinator one).

I want this step to be only 1 status in the workflow, regardless of how many areas were selected. (The status only changes when all of the involved areas approved the issue).

It would be like this:

  • Issue creation;
  • Coordinator Approval;
  • Business Approval(s) (in a single status);

and the rest of the workflow which isn't a problem for now.

Any insights on how would I do that extra approval step?

Thanks a lot, I hope my post was clear enough. I've done some research in this community and while there are a lot of questions on approvals, I couldn't find something very similar to this scenario.
