With the latest updates of JIRA there are new icons for priorities.
I had expected that my existing "default" icons and scheme would have updated automatically with the update but they didn't.
I went to System > Issues > Priorities to adjust the icons linked to each priority. Saved. The icons still don't update.
Is there a step required that we missed in the upgrade process to force the icons to update throughout?
Hi Nadine,
we had that issue, too. Even when setting/reselecting the icons it didn't work as always the "old" filename was shown in the mapping dialog. Solution: Select ANOTHER filename (a difference only in the filename extension eg. png -> svg is NOT recognized), save and then select the proper icon you like.
Example:
Priority Minor: Icon minor.png
Select eg. medium.png, Save the dialog
Select minor.svg Save the dialog
This worked for us. Still a bug, though...

Didn't work for me in Jira 8.5.3. No matter what I select, as soon as I go back to the correct image, the old image is displayed.

What is if you reload the webpage with STRG+F5? Maybe is it a caching issue...

Hi JP,
Thank you. I checked to ensure the files were stored in the location first but then just changed the file extension manually and they now show up as expected.
Thanks for the help.
