Private Project

I would like to know if there is any way to make a project private that is of the type "software managed by the company".

There is not a way for an end user to do that. However, a Jira Administrator could do it by assigning to the project a permission scheme where permissions are allocated only to Jira Admins and the person or people who need access to it. Or Roles could be used in the permission scheme, and then the Project Administrator could adjust who is assigned to the project roles to grant and revoke access to the project.
