Problem with JIRA preformatted text

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
We are using JIRA software 7.3.6 and SEN is 10921682. We hit the problem with preformatted text. Below are the steps to reproduce. Would you please advise if this is a problem and any fix / workaround available.

Image 2 of 2, When the preformatted description or comment is added, it becomes flat.
