Problems with IE 9

Since two weeks I have a new image on my laptop including Internet Explorer, version 9.
But now I have problems to use IE 9 for working with Jira. (My current Firefox version works ok.)
Some issues can be solved by using the Compatibility View", but for other screen this setting makes it worse.

a) Dashboard
The pull down menu to edit the gadget is available with "Compatibility View" activated, only.

b) Create / Edit Issues
The pulldown list to select values like for 'Affected Version/s' is available with "Compatibility View" deactivated, only.
BUT: Although if the setting is changed back and the list is displayed it's not possible to select any value to be added to the field.
Just manual input by writing the value into the field directly is possible.

Maybe I need to change any other settings in IE which I have not discovered, yet...?!

Hey Rumceisz.


You can try to enable XMLHTTP feature on your IE tools advanced tab.

Also please do mantain IE compatibility mode disabled!

JIRA 4.3.4 doesn't support IE9 unfortunately. The first version of JIRA that works with IE9 is 4.4, so your only real solution here is to upgrade, or to find IE8 somewhere, or continue to use Firefox...
