Hi. In free plan for Jira Core and Jira Service Desk, is it possible to make a specific user group has access to product? Only a user group, instead of all users?
It seems that in free plan all users has access to product.
Also, is there a way (on free plan) to allow specific users to see a specific project in Jira Software, and not all of projects in the same account?
Thanks.
Gui.
Gui,
By default, users likely will have access to all the products. I know in my free instances they are set up by default. You can change those setting and control which groups have access to specific products using the products access console.
More detailed instructions can be found here.
Thanks!

Thanks @Kian Stack Mumo Systems .
Yes, I created groups. But there's only option to add a group to specific products. But if a group "developer" has access to product "Jira Software", then they will have access to all projects in this product. I need to add them to specific projects, not on all of them.
That's what I'm trying to accomplish...
Thanks!

@Gui Ávila What you will need to do then is to create a new project level permission that only grants browse permission to that specific group.
Generalized steps to do this are in Managing project permissions. The confusing part about this is that Jira tends to default all new projects to use a default permission scheme that tends to allow groups such as 'Any logged in user' to access that project. In your case, you will need to likely create a new permission scheme that only allows users of that specific group, and then assign it to that project.
You still need to make sure that these users in that group are also Jira Software application users, otherwise they can't login to Jira, but that should help you to isolate that particular project to only those users.
I hope this helps.

@Gui Ávilathanks for sharing! If you are on the free plan, it seems as though everyone can see all the projects. Sorry to hear that there isn't another way to do it!
